Rainey named sole finalist for Stephens County’s Recreation Director

Wednesday, July 27^th marked the start of the 14-day mandatory waiting period for Stephens County to officially hire Chris Rainey as Stephens County’s Recreation Director.

County Administrator announced, Wednesday, that Rainey was the sole candidate for the position.

Rainey has been serving as the Interim Recreation Director after former Recreation Director Joe Smith resigned at the beginning of the July.

Prior to becoming the interim Recreation Director, Rainey had been the assistant recreation director.

Once the 14-day waiting period is up, the county is expected to officially hire Rainey as the Recreation Director for Stephens County.
