Qualifying Week Finished

The following have qualified for the May 22nd General Primary. 

For the Stephens County Board of Commissioners: Incumbent Michelle Ivester, for Post 1;

James Addison, Jim Ledford, Henry Moore, Bryan Dooley, and Melvin Barrett all for Post 4;

 

Incumbent Dean Scarborough, John Smith, for Post 5.

 

For the Stephens County Board of Education: Incumbent Jim Bellamy, for district 1 post 2; Incumbent Bill Wheeler, for district 2 post 2; Rodney Moore Jr., for district 2 post 1; Incumbent David Fricks, Joel Blackwell, Kay Reed, for district 3 post 1.

For the Soil and Water Conservation: Felton Biggers and Lakie Meeks.

 

Qualifying ended today at noon.

 

Meantime, early voting starts April 30th and ends May 18th.

Additionally, the deadline to register to vote for the May primary is April 24th.

You can register online at the Georgia Secretary of State web site, or at the Toccoa office of the Department of Driver Safety on Doyle Street or at the Stephens County Registrar’s office on Tugalo St.
