Cobb is described as a white female, 5’ 7”, 127lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes

Cox is described as a white male, 5’7”, 197 lbs with dark brown hair, goatee and blue eyes.

All four are believed to be working with Mexican drug cartels to bring meth in this area and the Upstate, as well as into North Carolina.

During the press conference, Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw along with Captain Washington and Lt. Jeremy Chapman of the Special Operations Division briefed the media on the investigation.

Crenshaw said agents believe that Cobb may be in the Atlanta Metro area and according to Captain Ken Washington of the Special Operations Division, Cobb is believed to have connections with the Mexican drug Cartels who are responsible for much of the Meth that flowed through Oconee County during the investigation.

Last Thursday, a multi-division investigative task force executed four high risk search warrants at four separate locations to search for individuals that have active arrest warrants pertaining to the investigation.

At those locations, officers seized firearms, cash, and around 2 pounds of additional narcotics.

Three individuals with warrants directly tying them to the investigation were arrested while five others were arrested as a result of the execution of the search warrant.

According to Crenshaw, with the decrease in meth labs in Oconee County, narcotics agents are seeing meth being trafficked by the Mexican drug cartels.

“The ‘Operation Avalanche’ case goes back into Mexico with the narcotics making its way through Atlanta and into Oconee County,” Washington said. “Geographically, Oconee County is in between two hub cities, Atlanta and Charlotte. The cartel and the criminal enterprises will use that middle ground for their benefit in terms of selling drugs and making their profit.”
