PruittHealth “Code Red” After Positive Covid-19 Case

PruittHealth is now operating at Code Red status at seven centers as a positive Covid-19 case has been determined at the Toccoa center, and six other centers, and transferred to a local hospital.

According to PruittHealth, they have been in communication with the affected individuals’ families, physicians, and local health departments in Toccoa, Salisbury, N.C., and Georgia centers in Ashburn, Austell, Greenville, Macon, and Milledgeville.

PruittHealth says Alert Code Red for these centers means that they will continue to implement enhanced infection control protocols, including increasing cleaning frequency, postponing communal activities, ceasing visitation, and screening staff and patients daily.

Additionally, all seven centers, including the Toccoa center, will restrict staff to only essential personnel and will not accept any new admissions.

The organization says that it is continuing to follow the latest guidelines from public health officials, and has an Emergency Operations Center available 24 hours a day for staff or patients questions or concerns at 855-742-5983.

WNEG will have more information as it becomes available.
