Probable Rain Brings Changes to Christmas Fest

Due to a projected rain event Friday night, there will be several changes to this year’s Christmas Fest.

According to Toccoa Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby the following will be updated or changed due to the weather:

The lighting of the tree and the courthouse lawn displays will continue to be held at 6:00 pm at the city tree on Sage Street.

 Eleven trees will be part of the Festival of Trees and will be set up on Doyle St from Sage St to Pond St.

Voting for the trees will still be available inside the stores.

 The Christmas Sage Market will be moved to the Mitchell Allen Room and the entertainment to the Ritz Theatre. The entertainment will include the Toccoa Carolers beginning at 6:00 pm followed by Tugaloo Holler at 7:00 pm.

 Santa will be in his Toy Shop at the corner of Tugalo Street and Sage Street.

Chick-fil-a and Mike’s on the Go will be located on Sage Street.

Vendors with Baked goods will be located in the Breezeway along with the Elves Workshop.

 Toccoa on Ice will be closed on Friday night but will reopen on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  The fee is $5 per person.  The ice skating rink is on Tugalo St.

The live nativity will be located in the alcove on Doyle St. next to Southern Roots.
