Post 7 Commander Promoted

SFC Donnie Saddler, who has served as commander of Georgia State Patrol Post 7, Toccoa, since being promoted to the position in October, 2020, has been promoted to Lieutenant in the Troop C Command. Troop C covers Cobb, Fulton, Clayton, DeKalb and Gwinnett counties.

Saddler, an Elberton native, joined the Georgia Department of Public Safety in 2002, working in the Executive Security Division providing security for Gov. Roy Barnes and Gov. Sonny Purdue. 

The Toccoa Post covers Stephens, Habersham and Rabun Counties, and is a part of 21-county Troop B that covers the northeast corner of the state. 

No official announcement has been made naming the new commander of Post 7.
