Positive Cases Still at Slower Rate in Latest Report

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting a total of 71 deaths in Stephens County with 2,864 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon.

The latest report has an additional death in Habersham County bringing the total to 137 and now 4,553 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County still has a total of 37 deaths and now 2,269 positive cases of the virus, Rabun County is now reporting 1,431 cases and 36 deaths, and Hart County is still reporting 1,651 cases and 35 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 33 deaths and 1,552 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there were 1,752 cases reported since Monday for a total now of 821,482 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those 162 more were hospitalized bringing that total now to 56,251, and 61 more died bringing the total death count due to complications of the virus to 15,209.
