Pair arrested in Toccoa for allegedly selling meth

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office with the help of the Toccoa Police Department and Agents with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office has made a drug arrest after months-long investigation.

According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley on August 7, his office executed a search warrant at 70 Felton Drive, Room 120 in Toccoa, following a 5-month investigation.

He says approximately 3.5 grams of methamphetamine was recovered.

The methamphetamine recovered has a street value of approximately $350.

Shirley says 40-year-old Brian Lamar Craft was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with five counts of sale of methamphetamine and one count of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Additionally, Shirley says, 39-year-old Michelle Annett Chapman was also arrested and taken into custody without incident.

She was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

The pair were taken to the Stephens County Jail.

According to Shirley the investigation is still ongoing.
