Open Mic Night’s 4th installment is tonight

The second annual Open Mic Night will host its fourth monthly competition this evening at the Ritz Theatre in downtown Toccoa.

Ritz Theatre General Manager Danita Gaudette says this is the final preliminary round.

The competition is open to the general public and contestants do not have to be from Toccoa-Stephens County.

However, it’s important those who want to perform come early as only the first 12 to sign up will be allowed to compete.

Gaudette said tonight’s winner will receive a $50 prize.

Contestants may play up to two songs lasting not more than 10 minutes.

Then next month on January 21^st, all four monthly winners will compete to be the Grand Finale winner.

That person will be awarded with a paid gig at the Ida Cox Summer Music series in June.
