Oldham named Stephens County School Superintendent effective July 1, 2020

The Stephens County Board of Education took official action Wednesday, appointing Stephens County Schools Deputy Superintendent Dr. Daniel Oldham as Stephens County Schools Superintendent effective July 1, 2020.

In a Special Called Meeting on Wednesday, the board of education met to finalize Oldham’s appointment, following a mandated 14-day public comment period.

Stephens County Board of Education Chairman Rod Moore presented the motion, and the board approved it unanimously.

Oldham thanked the board for selecting him.

“I couldn’t think of a better place to be,” he said. “Thank you for entrusting me with Stephens County School System. I can’t wait to work with everyone.”

Oldham will replace current Superintendent Bryan Dorsey, who will become the Project Specialist for the school system effective July 1, 2020.
