ALMOST ALL POWER RESTORED IN STEPHENS

 

 

As of 9 p.m. Thursday evening, Georgia Power has restored power to 920,000 customers impacted by Hurricane Irma. More than 8,000 personnel are working around the clock as part of Georgia Power’s statewide restoration effort to restore power for the approximately 75,000 customers who remain. The company is on track to restore power to 95 percent of all customers impacted by Hurricane Irma, who can accept power, by Saturday night – 24 hours ahead of schedule.

As of 11 A.M. Friday, in Stephens County, Georgia Power is still reporting 232 still with out power. Over 1400 in Habersham County, but that was cut in half since last night.

Hart EMC is now reporting just 23 customers still in the dark in their five-county coverage area, which includes Stephens, Franklin, and Hart counties.

The latest data from Hart EMC shows Stephens County with 14 affected customers with outages.
