Nobody Hurt In Old Carnes Creek Rd. Fire
A Stephens County house suffers extensive fire and smoke damage after a blaze last week.
Three Stephens County volunteer fire departments were called to the fire at a home on Old Carnes Creek Road Thursday afternoon at 4:12 p.m.
Carnes Creek Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jody Marcus said his department responded, as did New Hope and Tates Creek Volunteer Fire Departments.
Marcus said nobody was hurt in the blaze as the owner of the residence was not at home at the time of the ire, but the home did suffer extensive damage.
He also said that crews are still investigating what exactly caused the fire.
Marcus said the cause of the fire is not suspicious.
He went on to say that crews remained on scene for about three hours on Thursday, making sure the fire was out.
