No child was empty handed Christmas day thanks to Stephens County community, Salvation Army

Officials with the Salvation Army of Toccoa were pleased to announce every child, from the Angel Tree Program, will receive Christmas presents this year.

Brenda Gragg is the social worker for Toccoa’s Salvation Army, she says all needs were met because of the continued support and generosity of the community.

“I just want to thank the community for everything they did for the Angel Tree Program,” Gragg said. “We were able to meet the needs of every child. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support from the community. We really appreciate it.”

This year, through the efforts of the community, the Salvation Army was able to have a very successful year.

Gragg adds that through the help of some local agencies, on Wednesday, the gifts were distributed without a hitch.

She continued by saying that the staff at the Salvation Army are forever grateful for the widespread community support they receive not only during Christmas, but, also, the entire year.

She says she looks forward to another successful year.
