Night at the Ritz with Piatigorsky Foundation

Cellist Evan Drachman will be performing at 7 p.m on Friday, September 29 as part of the Night at the Ritz Series.

Drachman, Founder and Artistic Director of The Piatigorsky Foundation, has parlayed his musical talent and artistic vision into a career spending much of his time performing recitals, chamber music, and concerti – or instrumental compositions – in the United States and abroad.

As Artistic Director of The Piatigorsky Foundation, he has become one of this country’s most respected authorities on the presentation of live classical music to diverse audiences.

The Foundation’s mission is to make live classical music a part of the fabric of everyday life for underserved communities throughout the United States  – a mission that dovetail’s with the Night at the Ritz’s intent of introducing residents to a variety of music styles that they might not normally listen to.

The organization is named for Drachman’s grandfather, famous cellist Gregor Piatigorsky.

Due in part to grants from the National Endowment of the Arts and The Georgia Council for the Arts, this Night at the Ritz performance is free of charge.
