NGTC will hold drive-through graduations today

North Georgia Technical College will hold their drive-through graduation for spring and summer graduates today on two campuses.

Clarkesville and Currahee campus students will come through the Clarkesville campus from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning at North Loop Road with stopping at various stages for graduates to register and receive prizes.

Then, Commencement will take place in the Visual Tech Center parking lot.

Graduation takes place on the Blairsville campus this evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Graduates will come on campus through the main entrance then will follow through the parking lots to register and receive prizes.

The Commencement ceremony will take place in front of the Health Wing entrance.

Graduates on both campuses are asked to bring one car of family/friends and drive thru the appropriate campus to register, receive prizes and receive their diploma.

Graduates will only get out of their cars one at a time at the graduation area to walk across a stage and have their names announced.

They will then have an opportunity for a commemorative picture with President Dr. Mark Ivester after receiving their diploma.

After receiving their diplomas, graduates will then return to their car and will be cheered on by faculty and staff while exiting the campus.

Highways near the campus will be patrolled at traffic entrances and exits by NGTC Police and the Habersham and Union County Sheriff’s Offices before, during, and immediately after graduation.
