NGTC President Passes Away Due to Complications of Covid-19

 

Sad news to report today.

Dr. Mark Ivester, President of North Georgia Technical College passed away on Saturday.

The school released the following statement. “With incredibly heavy hearts, we are so sad to say that Dr. Mark Ivester passed away last night around midnight after losing his battle to Covid-19. As we gather more information regarding upcoming plans for services, we will let you know. Once again, please continue to pray for Eleanor and his entire family. Thank you for all the love and support you have shown them and one another during this time. We are all devastated and will miss him terribly.”

A resident of Toccoa, Dr. Ivester became the sixth president of North Georgia Technical College in 2016. Prior to that he served as Vice President for Economic Development and Vice President of Administrative Services at the school.

Ivester was 57.
