NGTC first signing day ceremony takes place today

North Georgia Technical College is celebrating the future generation of technical education students by hosting its first signing day ceremonies for high school graduates enrolling for the fall semester.

This is the first time the technical school has held a signing-ceremonies for high school seniors.

Dr. Mark A. Ivester, President of NGTC tells WNEG News signing day is a wonderful way to recognize the value of a career and technical education and support each student that will be the future of our workforce.

Ivester said students who sign will be career ready in a very short time and it’s a win for everyone involved.

Students from Franklin County High School and Stephens County High School are invited to the signing ceremony taking place today at 4:30 p.m., on the NGTC Currahee Campus.

High school seniors who plan to enroll at North Georgia Tech in the fall and who currently attend Habersham Central High School and White County High School are invited to the signing ceremony at the Industrial Technology Center on the Clarkesville Campus at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 2.

And future North Georgia Tech students from Union, Towns, and Fannin County High Schools are invited to the signing ceremony at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, at the Blairsville Campus.

Students from Rabun County High School may attend the signing ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at Rabun County High School, scheduled immediately before the RCHS CTAE Awards Banquet.

Parents Family members of all of the high school seniors are invited to the ceremonies at each campus.

Students must RSVP with the number of attending guests for the event by emailing [email protected] or by calling 706-754-7793 by April 17.

Students who are considering enrolling at NGTC for fall semester and would like to attend a signing ceremony should submit all admission information before April 11.
