NGPG urging community to get COVID Vaccine at free vaccine clinic

The Northeast Georgia Physicians Group is urging the community to get the COVID-19 Vaccine at its upcoming vaccine clinic in Gainesville.

Anyone 12 years of age and older, who still need the vaccine, can get the vaccine at no cost on Wednesday, July 28, at Corporate Plaza, 3137 Frontage Road, in Gainesville, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

According to the Department of Public Health, the rate of positive COVID-19 test results is on the rise.

Layne Saliba is the Public Relations and Marketing Specialist for Northeast Georgia Health System.

She says if you’ve been waiting to make sure the vaccine is safe before you get the shot, rest assured that more than 4.6 million residents have gotten the vaccine in Georgia alone.

Unfortunately, more than half of Georgia still isn’t vaccinated, that leaves us all vulnerable to another crippling spike in cases.

The Northeast Georgia Physicians Group says the vaccine is the weapon we didn’t have in the fight before, and they need everyone, who is eligible to, protect themselves, so our businesses can remain open, our children can return to school, and our communities can continue to recover.
