New Quality Inn Opens, Officially, in Toccoa

The new Quality Inn in Toccoa is now officially open for business.

Last week, the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new hotel with a special ribbon cutting ceremony.

Sunita Patel is the owner of Galaxy Management and the new Quality Inn on the corner of Stephens and Big A Roads in Toccoa.

Patel tells WNEG News says it’s important for Toccoa to have a brand-name hotel and she looks forward to being part of the community.

The Toccoa Quality Inn is part of the Choice Hotels suite of hotel chains.

According to their Web site, Quality Inn hotels offer premium amenities and comfort such as upgraded bedding and a hot breakfasts.

Toccoa Quality Inn General Manager Darlene Gaspart says over the past two years, Choice Hotels has taken the former Toccoa Inn down to the framing and has completely renovated all of the rooms and services.

“From the time I came here last year, we have changed everything completely,” she said. “There are new beds, new mattresses, new breakfast items, new lobby; everything has been done new. When you walk in here you know it’s a new place.”

Galaxy Management Vice-President Gene Calloway says they hope to become a vital part of the Toccoa-Stephens County community.

“If we contribute to the community, the community will contribute to us,” Calloway said. “It doesn’t make sense for us to be here and not put anything back into the community. Whether it’s obs or buying lunch at Quincy’s it’s really important because we have to support one another in order for us to be profitable and sustain good business.”
