Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce and area citizens welcomed a new owner at one of  the community’s existing businesses on Thursday at a celebration at Home Sweet Home Elder Care. 

Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce President Julie Paysen welcomed the new owner, Claudia Rogers and introduced her to the community members gathered for the event.

Rogers spoke about her previous experience and other business locations in the elder care industry, and talked about why she decided to expand to Toccoa.

Previous Home Sweet Home owner Suzi Lee said when she started looking at selling her business,  she felt connected with Rogers from the beginning.

Payson thanked Rogers and her husband for their investment in the community.

Home Sweet Home is located at 16 Crestwood Drive, off of Hwy. 123. They are licensed for 14 residents and currently have 11 living at the facility, but have applied for the license for an additional six residents, for a total of 20.
