New Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Opens Today in Toccoa

The new Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Store is holding its Grand Opening today.

Ollie’s is located on Big A Road in the former Goody’s building.

Since 1982, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has become one of America’s largest retailers of closeout merchandise and excess inventory with some 270 stores nationwide.

Ollie’s Vice-president of Real Estate Jerry Altland says customers will find lots of great deals at the new store in Toccoa.

“Number one, you’re going to save money,” Altland said. “Number two, shopping at Ollie’s is like a treasure hunt; you never know what you’re going to find. We have name-brand products and 30%-70% off the fancy stores. We’re very similar to a Big Lots, but we do have a floor covering department and a great discount book department. We have all that stuff at our store there.”

Crews have been working around the clock for weeks to stock the new store with merchandise in time for today’s opening.

Special guest at today’s Grand Opening and ribbon cutting is NASCAR racing legend Bill Elliott.

Elliott will be singing autographs for some 250 racing fans.

Beginning at 7:30a this morning, those tickets will be distributed for the Celebrity Autograph session with Elliott, which begins at 10a.

Tickets are limited to one per person.

And if you’re looking for work, Ollie’s in Toccoa is currently hiring for part-time sales associates.

You can learn about how to apply by going to their web site at www.ollies.us/careers/ or pick up an application at the store.
