NEGA Animal Shelter will hold Rabies Clinic this weekend

As a reminder the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter’s Rabies Clinic has been rescheduled to this weekend.

Shelter Manager Tammie Jourdenais tells WNEG News the clinic was to have taken place last week, but due to rain the decision was made to reschedule.

Rabies vaccines for dogs and cats are $5 for a one-year, $10 for a three-year.

Other vaccines are also available for your pets at extremely discounted prices.

The feline FVRCP distemper vaccine and the canine DHPPV distemper vaccine are $7 each.

You will also be able to have your pet microchipped for just $20 at the rabies clinic.

Jourdenais says there will be certain protocols in place when you bring your pet to be vaccinated.

Outside in the parking lot where the sign-up forms will be located will also be set up for social distancing.

The rabies clinic is not limited to residents of Franklin County. Anyone with a pet who needs to be vaccinated may bring them to the clinic.

No credit or debit cards will be accepted, only cash or check.

Again, the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter rabies clinic is now being held on Saturday, October 17th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
