According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, around 12:30 yesterday afternoon, a Jeep driven by 30-year-old Michael Wright left the roadway on I-85 north and struck a semi that was on the shoulder of the road.

After striking it, the jeep was then struck by another tractor trailer.

Wright’s wife, 28-year-old Alyssa Hartfield Wright was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident but because of the impact, was ejected from the vehicle and died on scene from multiple trauma.
