Mt Zion News RCUT Traffic Pattern announced

In the coming days, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) and contractor Vertical Earth LLC will begin putting up signage for the upcoming construction of a Restricted U-turn or RCUT on SR 365 at Mount Zion Road

The entrance and exit at Mount Zion Road will become right in and right out. Left turns from Mount Zion Road onto SR 365 will be restricted and a new traffic pattern will direct all vehicles to make a right turn onto SR 365. Those wanting to make a left will travel to a left turn lane to make a U-turn and continue in the opposite direction.

Motorists traveling on SR 365 will continue to be able to make a left onto Mt. Zion Road both northbound and southbound.

This project will close the intersection to cross traffic from Mount Zion Road.

Construction will commence in mid-October, weather permitting. Exact dates may change due to weather or other factors.

Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, stay alert, and watch for workers. Delays are anticipated. Consider alternate routes.  Get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions by calling 511, visiting 511ga.org, or downloading the Georgia 511 app.
