Mrs. Vera Alice “Peggy” Pearson Fulbright

Mrs. Vera Alice “Peggy” Pearson Fulbright, age 91 of Rock Drive, Toccoa passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at The Overlook Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Eva Rutherford Wright, she was born April 30, 1932, in Dallas, Georgia having lived most of her life in Toccoa.  She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Holiness Church.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Wright and her stepfather Curtis Wright, whom she loved dearly and by her husband of 64 years, Clinton Fulbright.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Edward Pearson.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Larry Bell of Toccoa, Eva and David Simcox of Elizabethville, Pennsylvania and Karen and Jeff Carter of Lavonia; grandchildren, Robert and Susan Bell, Cathy and Andrew Acree, Stephen Tucker and Andrew Carter; great-grandchildren, Ella Carter, Gage Carter, Gavin Carter, Rosemary Huff, Sara Beth Huff, Lucas Acree, Declan Acree and Jameson Acree; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Dianne Wright of Dallas, Georgia and Melvin and Candi Wright of Columbia, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Leola Edmonds of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 1, 2023, 11 o’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Doug Saylors and The Reverend Rowland Bearden officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and should assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m., Eddie Powers, Jeremy Powers, Eric Whitworth, Jacky Addison, Andrew Carter and Daniel Kellar.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Vera Alice “Peggy” Pearson Fulbright.
