Mrs. Savonda Ann Jordan Campbell

Mrs. Savonda Ann Jordan Campbell, of Commerce, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

A daughter of the late Leo and Rebecca Ritchie Jordan, formerly of Toccoa, she was born October 15, 1939 in Stephens County, Georgia.

Savonda traveled around the world with her husband and daughter for over 22 years, returning to her beloved Georgia in 1978. A Southern Belle, she was known for entertaining and gathering folks together. She always made people feel special with a ready smile. She was also known for her love of animals of all kinds.

She is survived by her husband, James Seaborn Campbell of Commerce, Georgia and her daughter, Amanda Lee Campbell of Marietta, Georgia; her sister, Lawonda Jordan Hill and her family in Clarkesville, Georgia. She is also survived by many loving and cherished cousins in Georgia and several Southern States.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 11, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Don Scott officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the service time. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. The family has requested that all persons in attendance wear a mask and is requesting that temperature be checked before entering the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1720 Epps Bridge Parkway, Suite 108-383, Athens, Georgia 30606 in memory of Mrs. Savonda Ann Jordan Campbell.
