Mrs. Rosalee Jameson Whiten

Mrs. Rosalee Jameson Whiten, age 89 of Talmadge Drive, Toccoa passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A daughter of the late William D. Jameson and Mary Jane Frady Jameson, she was born April 22, 1933, in Habersham County, Georgia where she had lived all her life. She was a homemaker.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir.  Her hobbies included gardening and working in her flowers.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and loved spending time with the grandkids and great-grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Whiten, brothers, Bill Jameson, Knox Jameson, John Jameson and Phil Jameson and by sisters, Ruth Goss, Janie Bell Stowe and Marie Lewallen.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Jeff Nunn of Toccoa and Cheryl and Randy Shirley of Martin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Jada Whiten of Toccoa and Randy and Debbie Whiten of Anderson, South Carolina; grandchildren, Steve Roberts, Connie Chastain, Chris and Amy Roberts, Julie and Lee Caudell, Mandy Shirley Haynes and Phillip Haynes, Heather and Matthew McCauley, Natalie and Dillon Pressley, Emmalee Whiten, Ellie Whiten and Bryson Whiten; great-grandchildren, Haley Brown, Kyle and Paige Chastain, Ava Caudell, Thomas Caudell, Luke Roberts, Jesse Roberts and Gavin McCauley; great-great grandchildren, Aubrey Chastain and Kayden Chastain; sisters, Grace Isom of Toccoa, Loretta Webb of Dacula and Faye Johnson of Gainesville; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 2p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church with The Reverend David Harbin and The Reverend Chris Roberts officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Eric Jameson, Roger Jameson, Jamie Isom, Luke Roberts, Ricky Woods and Jesse Roberts.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Chris Webb officiating.  Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Rosalee Jameson Whiten.
