Mrs. Nell Williams Martin

Mrs. Nell Williams Martin, age 90 of Prospect Road, Toccoa passed away Sunday,February 25, 2024 at her residence.

 

A daughter of the late Dave and Pearl Williams, she was born December 25,1933 in Franklin County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was retired from Coats and Clark with 47 years of service and was a member of Prospect Church.  She loved working in her yard and baking cakes, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed helping others.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Brown, a granddaughter, Cheyenne Hudson and by her siblings, Joe Williams, James Williams, Clarence Williams, Sam Williams, Buddy Williams, Earlene Bennett, Gladys Crump and Mildred Richie

 

Survivors include her husband of the home, Parks Martin; daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Jason Hudson; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hudson, Trinity Hudson, Brandon and Julia Hudson, Connor and GrayC Hudson and Jonathan Hudson; great-grandchildren, Josie Hudson, Raelynn Hunter, Brady Hudson, Layla Emanuel and Colton Emanuel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Tracey Williams and David and Jessie Williams both of Toccoa; sister, June Westmoreland of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be Friday March 1, 2024, 3 o’clock p.m. at Prospect Church with The Reverend Ron Compton officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and should meet at Prospect Church by 2:15 P.M., Tim Williams, Matt Williams, Mark Williams, Danny Richie, Benny Richie and Joseph Handwork.

 

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, February 29, 2024, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

 

Interment will follow in the Prospect Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Nell Williams Martin.
