Mrs. Mary Hazel Westmoreland Burns

Mrs. Mary Hazel Westmoreland Burns, age 81, of Clarkesville, formerly of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born September 14, 1943 in Toccoa, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Sarah Burgess Westmoreland.  She was of the Holiness faith and retired from Wrights Manufacturing Company with 30 years of service.

Family members include a son, Michael Ledford of Demorest; two granddaughters, Mercedes Weaver (Seth), and Samantha Ledford; two grandsons, Brody Ledford and Kale Ledford; a great-grandson, Luke Weaver; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12 Noon until the funeral hour on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Scott Westmoreland officiating.  Burial will be at Roselane Cemetery.
