Mrs. Judith Ann Lyles Floyd

Mrs. Judith Ann Lyles Floyd, age 68, of Toccoa, went to Heaven on Friday, February 3, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 29, 1954 in Toccoa, she was a daughter of the late John Spencer Lyles and the late Margaret Banks Lyles.  Judy was a member of The Pointe Church where she sang on the worship team and in the choir for several years.  Music was a big part of her life, beginning as a child singing in church, and she sang at countless funerals over the years while accompanied by her sister, Karen.  Judy retired from Toccoa Clinic after over 30 years of service where she made life-long friends.

Family members include a son, Vince Floyd; a daughter and son-in-law, LeAnn Floyd and Steven Sorrells; her precious grandchildren, Andrew Floyd and Tiffany Anderson, Alyssa Sorrells and Zach Vinson, Sidney Sorrells, and Skyler Sorrells, all of Toccoa; a brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Marlene Banks of Carnesville, her sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Cartwright of Clarkesville, and Karen and Mike Ivester of Toccoa; her last surviving uncle, Henry Banks of Commerce; a brother-in-law, Steve Floyd of Toccoa; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Floyd in 2013.

The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday, February 7th, and from 1:30pm until 2:30pm Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Whitlock Mortuary.

A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held at three o’clock Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at The Pointe Church with Pastor Chad Smith officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Tommy, at Roselane Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Vince Floyd, Andrew Floyd, Mike Ivester, Adam Ivester, Mike Zaino, and Zach Vinson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to The Pointe Church, 111 Fieldcrest Drive, Eastanollee, GA 30538.
