Mrs. Janet Diane Medlin Walters

Mrs. Janet Diane Medlin Walters, age 79 of Hen Coop Road, Anderson, South Carolinapassed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Grady and Bernice Woods Medlin, she was born March 31, 1943 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived most of her life in South Carolina.  She was a 1961 graduate of Stephens County High School and was a member of Asaville Baptist Church, Anderson, South Carolina where she had previously served as pianist.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Rev. Harold Walters; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Duke Parker of Greenwood, South Carolina; sons, Ken Walters and his fiancé Lauri Marshall of Jacksonville, Florida and Rev. Marc ( Marilyn) Walters of Stedman, North Carolina; grandchildren, Brooke and Dan Pellegrino, Kristen Parker, Lauryn and David Hewitt, Zach and Jessica Walters and Samantha and Austin Arnold; seven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Cheryl Medlin of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 25, 2022, 12:00 p.m. at Asaville Baptist Church, Anderson, South Carolina with The Reverend Dewayne Evans and the Reverend Hudson White officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tommy Medlock, Stan Bannister, Duke Parker, Jim Thomas, Malory Byrd, Chris Rickman and David White.

The family will receive friends at the Asaville Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 12:00 p.m.  The family will also receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa on Monday from 3 p.m. until time to leave for the graveside at the ToccoaCity Cemetery.

Interment will be in the Toccoa City Cemetery at 4 p.m. with the Reverend Marc Walters officiating.
