Mrs. Florence Bell Deaton
Mrs. Florence Bell Deaton, age 98, of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at her home.
Born February 26, 1923 she was the daughter of the late George Thomas and Annie Mae Smith Bell.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Becky Pruitt Sunday School Class. Crick as she was affectionately known worked for Coats and Clark for a number of years and the cafeteria at Big A Elementary School where she retired.
Family members include her sister, Bobbie Wilkinson; nephews, Vernon Wilkinson, Jr and Steve Wilkinson; nieces, Diane Hewitt, Susan McGaha, and Amy Dotson; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Deaton; her son, Thomas Wyatt Deaton; and a brother Joe Bell.
The family will receive friends at 2pm -3:30pm, Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at three-thirty Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary.
Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Vernon Wilkinson, Jr., Brian Westmoreland, Dan Dotson, Bo Dotson, Heath Dotson, and Paul Hewitt. Honorary will be The Becky Pruitt Sunday School Class, Steve Wilkinson, and Blake Wilkinson.
