Mrs. Carol Ann Chapman Holbrooks

Mrs. Carol Ann Chapman Holbrooks, age 69 of Old Oak Valley Road in Toccoa, passed away Monday, January 15,2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

A daughter of the late Earl and Mildred Rose Ayers Chapman, she was born on June 12,1954 in LufkinTexas, having lived most of her life in Toccoa.  She was employed for several years as a home health aide and was a member of Old Union Baptist Church.   Jesus and family were the center of Carol’s world. She was a devout Christian who lived her life for the Lord and strived to ensure that everyone she knew and loved also loved Him. She also loved to travel out west. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Danny Holbrooks, daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Kevin Westmoreland and Angie and Jeff Rudesal, grandchildren, Brittany (Justin) Lumpkin, Bailey Rudesal, Katie (Samuel) Greer, Bradley Westmoreland and Stephen Rudesal, great-grandchildren, Annie Leigh Lumpkin and Samuel Ace Greer, sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Art Byers of Maysville, and niece, Kayla (Reid) Gee.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 19,2024 at 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Lamar Kastner officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Mason Weaver, Allen Weaver, Nathan Smith, David Holbrooks, Robbie Smith, Jackie Bohannon, Jody Bohannon, and Chad Smith.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 12 p.m. until the service time at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow in the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Brian Pulliam officiating.
