Mr. Rory Jebediah Winsor

Mr. Rory Jebediah Winsor, age 40, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Rory was and will always be the son of Deborah A. Fulbright, George Mark Winsor, and Tony E. Fulbright. Rory was born on a snowy day on January 25, 1983, at N.E. Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. He lived in Stephens County most of his life. Rory graduated from Stephens County High School in 2001 where he was a member of the FFA. He competed at the University of Georgia in the areas of Forestry and Botany. He later went on to attend North Georgia Technical College where he studied Culinary Arts under the instruction of Chris and Alex Bladowski. He worked at Georgia Baptist Assembly, Currahee Club and Ping’s Restaurant.

Rory loved the outdoors. His favorite pastime was fishing, and he loved the beach. Rory loved his family!!! He accepted Jesus as his savior at the age of 9 years old and was baptized at Carnes Creek Baptist Church where he is a member. Rory was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph F. and Barbara W. Gebo, and his paternal grandparents, George Winsor and Sarah S. Winsor.

Rory is survived by his parents Deborah and Tony Fulbright, George Mark Winsor; his sisters and brother-in-law, Sade A. Hansen and Ryan Hansen and Crystal D. Fulbright; his grandparents, Charles Fulbright and his wife that passed Wanslie Fulbright; his nieces, Ava Mosley and Winnie Rose Hansen; his uncles, Mike and John Gebo, John Viani and James Vaughn; his aunts, Kim Gebo, Lalah Viani and Sharon and Donnie Boosh and Janet Vaughn; his cousins Meghan Wilson, Maureen Richardson, Joey Gebo and Abigail Gebo Ford, Erica Auch, Addison Viani and Christopher Vaughan.

Funeral Services will be held at Carnes Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with The Reverend David Steele and Pastor Chad Smith officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tony Fulbright, Ryan Hansen, Andy Pitts, Mike Gebo, John Gebo and Tiko Brown.

The visitation will be held at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 4 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Flowers are optional.  Those desiring may make memorials to The Hope Center of Toccoa, P.O. Box 535, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mr. Rory Jebediah Winsor.

Interment will follow in the Carnes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Rory Jebediah Winsor.
