Mr. Ronnie Yearwood

Mr. Ronnie Yearwood, age 76, of Cedar Fork Road in Toccoa passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at his residence.

A son of the late N.L. Yearwood and Minnie Lou Anderson Yearwood, he was born August 29, 1943 in Stephens County, Georgia where he has lived all of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Armarillo, Texas. Mr. Yearwood was the owner and operator of A&A Machine Shop for a number of years and later retired from Patterson Pump after seventeen years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Yearwood loved his family, gardening, and traveling. In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Alan Yearwood and by a sister, Jeanell Wood.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Yearwood of the home, daugher and son-in-law, Alisa and Matt Williams of Buford, Ga., grandchildren, Alea Yearwood Walton, Dillon Yearwood, Justin Yearwood, Caden Williams, and Peyton Williams, great grandchilden, Jackson Alan Walton and Cashton Taylor Walton, brother and sister-in-law, Johnnie and Betty Yearwood of Clarkesville, Ga., sister-in-law, Wanda Payne, daughter-in-law, Missy Yearwood, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 17th, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Reverend David Ritcey and Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Dillon Yearwood, Justin Yearwood, Caden Williams, Henry Rider, John Harrison, and Harold Garland. Pallbearers please assemble at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The following gentlemen will serve as the honorary pallbearers; Freddie Rider, Gary Loudermilk, Dale Bowers, Bobby Scott, and Boyd Smith.
Honorary pallbearers, please assemble at the cemetery by 1:30 pm.

Flowers are optional and those who wish can make a memorial contribution to Stephens County food bank, 579 Carolina Drive, Toccoa, Ga. 30577 or to the Open Arms Clinic, 109 Big A Road, Toccoa, Ga. 30577; in memory of Mr. Ronnie Yearwood.

Due to the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation. Please keep the family in your prayers in the coming days.

Military honors will be held at the graveside service and will be provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard and the Toccoa V.F.W. Post 4346 Honor Guard.
