Mr. Robert Darron Whitehead

Mr. Robert Darron Whitehead, age 52 of Laurel Mountain Drive, Toccoa passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at Northside Hospital Atlanta.

A son of Robert Whitehead and the late Jean Dale Whitehead, he was born May 7, 1969 in Hall County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County.  He was the Owner-Operator of Whitehead Distributing Company, a member of Providence United Methodist Church and a retired Volunteer with Shiloh Fire Department.

Survivors include his father, Rev. Robert Whitehead of Bogart, Georgia; his wife of the home, Sherry Deitz Whitehead; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Frances Deitz of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Pam Whitehead and their children, Robby, Patti, Jeremy, Thomas, Kelsey, Katlyn and their children; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frankie and DeAnna Deitz and their children, Brett, Luke and Drew; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Becky and Josh Payne and their children, Tucker and Isabella and Jenni and Josh Shepard and their children, Jack and Zoe.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 10, 2022, 3 o’clock p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church with The Reverend Steve McIntyre, Dr. Bill Hyndman and The Reverend Ricky McFarlin officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Brett Deitz, Luke Deitz, Tucker Payne, Drew Deitz, Jeff Bowen, Robby Whitehead, Josh Shepard and Dale Eller.  Honorary Escort will be the Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday, 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until time to leave for the service.

Flowers are optional.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN  38105 in memory of Mr. Robert Darron Whitehead.
