Mr. Ray Roberts

Mr. Ray Roberts, age 83, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Stephens County Hospital.

Born June 7, 1936 in Carnesville, GA, he was the son of the late Frank and Gladys Isabell Cheek Roberts.

Ray was the owner of Toccoa Exterminating Company and was an active member of the Toccoa First Baptist Church serving as a deacon and R. A. leader for many years.  Ray was a member of the Civil Defense, the Toccoa Shrine Club, and the Toccoa Masonic Lodge #309 and was a 32 degree Mason.

Family members include his wife of 63 years, Jean Carson Roberts; daughters, Terri Jean Roberts of Anderson, SC and Patti LeCroy of Seneca, SC; son, Alan Ray Roberts (Joann) of Carnesville; grandchildren, Ashli Perry (Tim), Andy Curbow (Ashley), Mindy Bolt (Brandon), Carson LeCroy (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Reaghan Perry, Addison Perry, Shannon Bolt, Isaac LeCroy, and Harper Curbow.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Roberts and his sister, Fay Chatham.

Funeral services will be held at eleven-thirty Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. David Ritcey officiating.

A private family burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Carson LeCroy, Andy Curbow, Tim Perry, Brandon Bolt, Jeff Smith, and Paul Blackmon.

The Adult III Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the mortuary from 10am until the service hour on Tuesday.
