Mr. James Willie “Jimmy” LeCroy

Mr. James Willie “Jimmy” LeCroy age 86 of Toccoa passed away Saturday June 24, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of the late Willie Coleman and Clara Mae Brown LeCroy, he was born October 8, 1936, in Franklin County, Georgia having lived all of his life in Toccoa. He was veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Coats American with thirty nine years of service. He later worked with his brother at Galaxy Appliances. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a loving husband. father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. He loved doing yard work, being outside and his dog Gidgett. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by three brothers Paul LeCroy, Thomas LeCroy, Talmadge LeCroy and three sisters Eula Mae McFarlin, Gladys Crump and Tommie McCollum.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years Gwen Ansley LeCroy of the home, daughter Karen LeCroy of Toccoa, daughter and son-in-law Pam and Alan Yearwood of Toccoa, a sister Louise Collins of Toccoa, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday June 26, 2023 at 3 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Roger Elrod officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 PM til 8:00 PM and on Monday from 1:00 PM til service time.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Alan Yearwood, Brian Yearwood, Kane Sadler, Isaiah Kelton Thurmond, Steve Niceley and Steve Spencer.

Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard

Entombment will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
