Mr. James Horace Scott

Mr. James Horace Scott, age 95 of Mobile, Alabama and formerly of Toccoa passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at his residence.

A son of the late John Henry Scott and Ida Bell Sullens Scott, he was born February 1, 1927 in Toccoa, Georgia where he was raised.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from construction and brick masonry.  He was an anatomical donor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Joe Scott and Jerry Scott, by two brothers and their spouses, Bernice (Tine) Scott and Clarence (Macie) Scott,  by a sister and brother-in-law, Betty Scott Collins (Billy Ray) and extended family member, Michael B. Stanley.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Wanda Thompson Scott; two grandsons, Ricky Scott and Rodney Scott; granddaughter, Stacy Scott (Samuel) Fogle; sister, Dorothy McCall; brother, Hoyt Scott of Toccoa; his extended family, Martin (Karen) Stanley of Mobile, Alabama and their children, Troy (Francie) Stanley of Orange Park, Florida, Anna Stanley of Seattle, Washington and Michael W. Stanley (Rachel) of Mobile, Alabama; several other great-grands, relatives and friends.

Interment will be at a later date in Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
