Mr. Howell L. Couch
Mr. Howell L. Couch, age 67, of Covington passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022.
He was born June 18, 1955 in Toccoa and was a graduate of Stephens County High School. Mr. Couch attended and graduated from Georgia Tech in 1977. He retired from Oxford Industries after a career spanning 36 years. Mr. Couch loved riding his Harley, hunting, eating, and was a professional “Piddler”. He was a Mason and member of Mt. Moriah Lodge #19 F&AM, a member of Elks Lodge #955 where he served as a Trustee, and he attended Walnut Grove Apostolic Church.
Mr. Couch was preceded in death by his mother Lila Couch; his grandson Bobby Couch; his brother Tim Couch; and his father-in-law Bobby Crowe.
He is survived by his wife Norma Couch; his son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Crystal Couch of Covington; his daughter and son-in-law Jhie and John Schramm of Oxford; his grandchildren James, Jobey, Jase, and Ollie Grace; his father Leroy Couch of Toccoa; his sister Tonya Chalfant of Toccoa; his mother-in-law Sylvia Crowe; along with a host of other family and close friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Couch will be held at 2 o’clock Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Morrell and Reverend Jay Peacock officiating.
Interment will follow at New Covington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00PM until 2:00PM on Monday prior to the service.
