Mr. Hollis “Big Al” Allan Lane

Mr. Hollis “Big Al” Allan Lane, age 71 of Toccoa passed away Friday December 4, 2020 at his residence.

A son of the late Hollis Franklin and Vivian Jeanette Kirkland Lane, he was born November 1, 1949 in Hartford, Alabama having lived in Graceville, Florida and living in Toccoa for the past thirty four years. He was retired from Windstream as Area Manager with 45 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Tom’s Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of forty eight years, Beth Raley Lane of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Matt Thomason of Toccoa; sons and daughters-in-law, Russ and Mary Lane of Winder and Raley and Kristen Lane of Toccoa; six grandchildren, Hayden Lane, Lizzie Lane, Sarah Lane, Vivian Lane, Ellie Rose Lane and Brogan Sorrells; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Benny Bell of Graceville, Florida and Vicky and Ricky Meredith of Graceville, Florida; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Polly and Jack Brent of Harper Heights, Texas and Kay Hayes of Murray, Kentucky; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will he held Monday, December 7, 2020 at 11 A.M. at Tom’s Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Wayne Marcus and the Reverend Clyde Ledlow officiating.

The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 P.M. until 6 P.M. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed.
