Mr. Frederick Armour “Bud” Skidmore, II

Mr. Frederick Armour “Bud” Skidmore, II, age 83, of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at his home.

Born June 11, 1940, in Brooklyn New York, he was a son of the late Frederick Armour Skidmore, I, and the late Luella Mildred Prossor Skidmore. Bud was a member of the First Alliance Church of Toccoa.  He was also a self-employed real estate broker, a sign painter and artist, and he was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

Family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Clint Shurtleff of Demorest, GA, and Jenna and Brad Ingrassia of Mt. Airy, GA; grandchildren, Jessica Anne Armour, Madison Raine Randolph (Caleb), Kendall Marie Priest (Kelland), Grante Shurtleff (Lynette), Drake Shurtleff, Luke Shurtleff, and Ryan Shurtleff; great-grandchildren, Ezekiel Aage Shurtleff, Aurelia Lillian Shurtleff,  Kiira Aiyana Shurtleff, Lenox Jewel Armour, and Gentry Crae Armour; two sisters-in-law, Debra Ann Howell and Renee Dawn Wood; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Linda Babcock Skidmore, a grandson, Crae Eric Holland, a sister, Kira Skidmore; and a brother-in-law, Arthur Harold Babcock.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5pm – 8pm Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Mr. Skidmore will also lie in state at the First Alliance Church of Toccoa from 10am until the service hour on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o’clock Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the First Alliance Church of Toccoa with Pastor Brian Rockwell officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy.

Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Clint Shurtleff, Grante Shurtleff, Drake Shurtleff, Luke Shurtleff, Ryan Shurtleff, and Brad Ingrassia.
