Mr. Fletcher Terrell Collier

Mr. Fletcher Terrell Collier, 87, of Charlotte, formerly of Toccoa, GA graduated to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 24, 2020 following a period of declining health.

Fletcher was born on August 28, 1933 in Toccoa, GA to the late Charles C. and Delia Garland Collier. He was a United States Army Veteran. Following his service to our country he worked hard to provide for his family, eventually working for Duke Energy as a pipe fitter until his retirement. He will be remembered by his family as a godly man who was faithful to his family, and friends will remember him as a jovial man who loved to laugh. Fletcher was known for his artistic and musical talents as well as being the Chief Spaghetti Maker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey Lee, Grady, John, Charles Clifton Collier, sisters, Eunice Stephens, Millie Payne, Susie Nell Ledbetter and Pauline Woods.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving bride of 61 years, Mary Lena Adams Collier of the home, son; Ivan Collier of the home, daughter; Jane Whitely and husband Tom of Charlotte, sister; Melba McCurry of Toccoa, GA, sisters in law; Gail Collier of Toccoa, Olivia Adams of Westminster, SC, brother in law; L.H. Wood of Chesnee, SC, brother and sister in law; Billy and Brenda Adams of Westminster, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
