Moogie-Q slated for Saturday

The Toccoa American Legion is gearing up for its annual Moogie-Q.
This year’s annual Bar-b-que event is coming up Saturday at the American Legion Post on East Doyle St.
Post member William Tucker says the annual cookout is a long standing fundraiser for the American Legion.
The fundraiser continues with Moogie’s sons, Johnny and Thumper.
Tucker says the money raised goes to a number of activities and causes.
This Saturday from 11a to 2p, you can swing by the American Legion Post and pick up a Bar-b-que plate for $8.
The plate includes a Bar-b-que sandwich, chips, slaw and a drink.
Additionally, the American Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary will be selling desserts.
Tucker said no tickets are needed and curbside service will be available or you can eat there.
