MOBILE HEALTH SERVICES DRIVE HOSTED BY THE SALVATION ARMY TOCCOA

In an ongoing effort to provide COVID-19 relief services and other health services to residents of Georgia, Community Organized Relief Effort of Georgia, or CORE, has partnered with the Salvation Army of Toccoa’s food pantry for a mobile health services drive to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations tomorrow, May 9, at the Salvation Army Toccoa Service Center in Toccoa.

The event will offer health services to the general public and target populations utilizing the Salvation Army Toccoa food pantry such as low-income and homeless populations. Mobile health services will be provided to eligible individuals including COVID-19 vaccinations and a $100 gift card.

CORE administers the 2023-2024 monovalent vaccine that is available at no cost to uninsured and underinsured individuals who have not received the newest version since it was released in Fall of 2023.

While supplies last, CORE events also offer free Narcan, drug test strips, STI and HIV tests, COVID-19 antigen tests, hygiene kits, condoms and other giveaways like CORE  Souvenirs, Wearables, and Gifts, kids toys and stickers. Approximately 75-100 people are expected to attend the food pantry. Attendees can pre-register for vaccines at gainesvillevax.coreresponse.org, by email at [email protected] or register on-site.
