Michigan Man Indicted on 10 Counts in Stephens County

A Michigan man has been indicted in Stephens County on 10 counts including three counts of aggravated assault.

In May, 2016 33-year old Elder Jerome Houston allegedly shot a male victim with a stolen 45 caliber glock handgun.

Houston was indicted on five counts, including Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.

Then, in June of 2016, the indictment alleges Houston shot into two different homes with a 45 caliber handgun.

In that case, Houston was indicted on two more counts of Aggravated Assault, two more counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, one more count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and one count of Obstruction of an Officer.

Houston had previously served time in a Michigan State Prison for aggravated assault and had been released in 2003.
