Martin preparing for the holidays

Christmas cheer is spreading throughout Stephens County, and the Town of Martin is busy preparing for the festivities.

Town employees, council members and trustees from the Stephens County Detention Center have been busy for the last two weeks getting the Town of Martin ready for the holiday season, town clerk Sonya Stovall told WNEG News.

The last sections of lights will go  up tomorrow, and the town plans to have the lights lit on Friday night, November 17, Stovall said.

New to the Town’s display this year will be an eight-foot Santa to be located at the Town Hall.

Stovall urged all county residents to make the short drive to Martin to enjoy the light display this holiday season.
