Maintenance work in Habersham and Banks County will temporarily close State Route 365 Exit Ramps

Contract maintenance work in Habersham and Banks counties will improve the driving surface of the State Route 365 exit ramps and replace slabs on Interstate 85.

In Habersham County, on Friday, October 2, maintenance contractors with the Georgia DOT will begin a pavement preservation project to improve the ramps on State Route 365 at State Route 17, at the Tom Arrendale Interchange.

This will require a traffic detour for the exit ramps at State Route 17 onto State Route 365.

The closures will begin at 7 p.m. Friday night and continue until Sunday morning at 5 a.m.

Traffic will be detoured to the traffic signal at State Route 17 and State Route 15/US 441 intersection.

In Banks County,  starting the third week of October, a concrete slab replacement project will improve the driving surface on Interstate 85.

Crews will work to remove damaged sections of concrete and replace them with new concrete.

Work hours are allowed between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight, Sunday through Fridays.

Crews will complete repairs between Banks Crossing (SR15/US441) and Martin Bridge Road (SR 63) interchanges along Intestate 85.

There will be single-lane closures on the Interstate northbound and southbound to complete this work.

This work will be completed weather-permitting and can be delayed or rescheduled.

Please slow down when traveling through work zones.
