Lula woman was one of 16 killed on Georgia roads during Labor Day weekend

A Lula woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash over the Labor Day weekend in Hall County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, 64-year-old Christine Louise Miller was fatally injured in a wreck on Clarkes Bridge Road, near Little Circle, in Hall County, Monday.

Troopers were called to the scene around 1:20 p.m. Monday.

GSP Troopers say Miller was driving a 2016 Kia Soul, north on Clarks Bridge Road, when she ran off the road, striking a mailbox, traffic sign, and a tree before stopping.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

According to a report by GSP, alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.

No other details have been released at this time.

Additionally, the Georgia Department of Public Safety reports 16 fatal accidents occurred on Georgia Roads during the 78-hour Labor Day Holiday Travel Period.

The holiday travel period ended Monday night at 11:59 p.m.

During the Labor Day Holiday Travel Period for 2020, 18 people died on Georgia Roads.
