Pinning ceremonies are a traditional nursing practice that honors students prior to beginning their careers in healthcare.

The following Practical Nursing students received their pins: Ashley Bennett of Royston, Ga.; Rachel Czerno of Rabun Gap, Ga.; Nicole Fowler of Toccoa, Ga.; Megan Gee of Martin, Ga.; Vivian Kesler of Toccoa, Ga.; Heather Palmer of Eastanollee, Ga.; Rocio Parnell of Lavonia, Ga.; Makenzie Ramey of Tallulah Falls, Ga; and Ansley Wilkes of Clarkesville, Ga.

“North Georgia Technical College’s Currahee campus recently celebrated a successful pinning ceremony for their Practical Nursing students, all of whom passed the challenging ATI Predictor exam,” said NGTC Vice President of Academic Affairs Mindy Glander. “This affirms their high probability of passing the state licensure exam, which is the final step to becoming a practical nurse. These accomplished students have demonstrated exceptional mastery and retention of extensive content and skills, a testament to the dedication of the remarkable faculty guiding their education.”

“It was a pleasure to honor our outstanding Practical Nursing graduates and congratulate them on achieving an incredible milestone in their lives,” said NGTC Dean of Academic Affairs Christy Bivins. “Nurses are the heart of our healthcare system, and these NGTC graduates will be the professionals that our community counts on in our times of need. With their commitment to educational excellence and achievement, we know that our healthcare facilities will continue to provide quality care for many years to come.”

“It was an honor to recognize the hard work and dedication of our 2023 Practical Nursing graduates during the pinning ceremony,” said NGTC Practical Nursing Program Director and Instructor Kim Randall. “This year, all of our students passed the ATI Predictor Exam and are ready for the NCLEX Board exam. It is always enjoyable to witness their family and friends celebrating their accomplishments. I know these students will do great things in their future.”
